Elaine Chen, PA-C

Physician Assistant-Certified

Elaine Chen PA-C is a Taiwanese-American, who grew up in the Midwest and moved to California during her high school years. She continued her education at the University of Southern California (USC) to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Human Evolutionary Biology and a minor in Spanish. She graduated as a National Merit Scholar with a USC Presidential Scholarship. While at USC, her passion for orthopedics was sparked while volunteering at the Orthopaedic Institute for Children in Los Angeles. She loved being able to provide both comfort and hope to kids and their parents as they navigated through their journey to recovery.

She proceeded to procure her Master’s in Physician Assistant Practice at the Keck School of Medicine of USC to further her medical training. At her graduate program, she underwent a series of clinical rotations across multiple specialties, with her favorite being Orthopedic Surgery. She completed a six-week rotation at the Orthopedic Surgery PA Fellowship program at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, where her passion for orthopedics blossomed. Whether she was talking to patients in the clinic or surgically assisting in the OR, every day was full of excitement and a sense of privilege.

Ms. Chen treats all her patients with the same respect and care as she would her own family. Her goal is to educate and encourage patients, while creating the most effective treatment plan tailored specially for each patient.

She is currently a fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and California Academy of Physician Assistants (CAPA).
