Elliot Bright, PA-C

Elliot Bright PA was born and raised in New York where he graduated from Stony Brook University with a degree in Biology. He proceeded directly to a graduate program in Physician Assistant Studies at Mercy College in the Bronx, NY. There he completed several rotations across the medical specialties including Orthopaedic Surgery.

He served as his class Vice President and the Global Medical Brigades chapter President. Elliot and 50 classmates, faculty, and practicing PA’s traveled to Nicaragua where they provided free medical care to over 1,000 patients. The team also built concrete floors and sanitation facilities for two local families.

Elliot also served as a Student Director for the New York State Society of Physician Assistants (NYSSPA). He is fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), California Academy of Physician Assistants (CAPA), and the Physician Assistants of Orthopedic Surgery (PAOS).

Elliot is passionate about helping future PA’s, the profession, and healthcare. He has served as a proctor for PA students and NP students, he also enjoys mentoring pre-PA students and spreading awareness about the profession which he feels is helping provide more access to care to more patients.

Elliot was eager to work in Orthopaedic Surgery even before his PA education and so he began working and specializing in Orthopedics immediately upon graduating from his graduate PA program and has acquired great experience in the field having worked with and alongside several surgeons in his career on both the east and west coast.

With a cheerful and kind bedside manner he evaluates and treats general orthopedic injuries such as fractures, dislocations, and arthritis as well as sports and personal injuries of the joints such as ACL tear, meniscus tear, rotator cuff tear, and labrum tear with a particular interest in shoulder and knee injury. Elliot is adept at injections with cortisone steroid, PRP (platelet rich plasma), and viscosupplementation ( Supartz etc) for most joints and musculoskeletal ailments. As a PA Elliot also assists in surgery performed by Dr. Samimi and Dr. Eldringhoff included joint arthroplasty and arthroscopy.

Being a PA Elliot is also able to work across the medical specialties and has maintained his medical knowledge outside of just Orthopedics as he has held urgent care positions including working at Coachella! Elliot’s combination of Orthopedic specialization, general medical knowledge, bedside manner, and enthusiasm make him an integral part of Samimi Orthopaedics and so many patient’s care.

Some of Elliot’s interests outside of Orthopedics include motorsport, weightlifting, music, and martial arts.
